R oyal Future Arabians was established in 1982 with the purchase of AM Royal Future as a foundation mare, a lovely gray with a beautiful head, neck, and true Arabian type. Future was first bred to AM Beau Triomphe, a son of park horse, AM Canadian Beau. This breeding set the direction for a future breeding program to produce English performance horses.

In 1983, the Barbary son, Barbary East, was purchased to become the main stallion for the farm. Barbary East was campaigned in th show ring in the mid-80s and received many championships, including Region 15 and Region 16 top five and a Buckeye top eight in 1986. In the US Nationals in 1986, he was a semi-finalist in open pleasure driving as a four-year-old.

In the ensuing years, several mares were purchased to complement the Barbary/Bask bloodlines of Barbary East. These included daughters of *Port Bask and *Padron and granddaughers of Perkal, Cognac, and Muzzlemanin. Most of the farm broodmares today are offspring from these original purchases, many of them being daughters of Barbary East.

Today, Royal Future's breeding program is based on *Bask++ and Varian bloodlines crossed on original Crabbet bloodstock. The farm's primary stallion is Barbary East, a Barbary+++ son, out of the pure Polish *Bask++ daugher, Bastique. Barbary East is now joined by his son RF Raindansk and outcrossed stallion RF Phoenix.

Current breeding: RF Phoenecia's foal by Bravado Bey V is expected this spring. Carolina Belle produced a beautiful AA Apollo Bey filly in 2001. The Barbary East daugher, RF Silhoutte, is being bred to national champion The Agitator (Aladdinn x *Cometerra by *Bandos) and Alyshea RF is being bred to reserve national champion Magic VF for 2003 foals.

Over the years, Royal Future Arabians has produced numerous quality Arabians, including the current Country English Pleasure Junior horse, RF Shenanigans, now being campaigned in the show ring by Stanley White's Grandeur Arabians.
